We are typically VERY budget conscious (would never spend this much on a bag) and reuse everything, but needed something durable and unisex for our infant and 23-month-old (and 5-year-old in a smaller capacity). The bag is more than enough for one child (it expands and is lightweight), but also works well for two. We keep two cups, two bottles, four diapers, sunscreen, cream, a couple granola bars/apples sauces, wipes, tylenol, a cell phone and three changes of clothes in the bag (although it is very full). The design is very good as you don't need to open the bag to get all your changing gear, the inner compartment is very large and it is comfortably hands-free (I am 5'5", my husband is 6'4"). It also looks very nice - our friend's son said "that's a cool backpack"! My only suggestions would be one more interior pocket, a bottle pocket on one of the sides (I know it might then "give it away" as a diaper bag), replacing the three small parent pockets with two slightly larger pockets (they aren't really that functional), and expanding the outside diaper zip a little (it is a tight squeeze for two diapers there). I am also not sure how I feel about the bottle compartment, but I have to admit that none of these things make me less crazy about this bag!
