I don't even have kids, but I bought this bag as a carry-on and a day trip bag for an upcoming extended vacation. (I was so excited to receive...that I almost missed the plane waiting for it to arrive...I ordered it late, it actually shipped very fast.)

I love the wide expandable strap. The side pockets, the zipper closure. This fits perfectly under a plane seat while still leaving leg room.

It fits my laptop, books, snacks, little cosmetic case, side pockets are perfect for phone.

Possible con is that the large inside pocket is very loose, it would be nice if that actually was taunt and held things more tightly, also when the strap is short, it falls of my shoulder easily, but if that becomes a problem, I just expand the strap and wear it as a messenger bag.

I also loose things in it easily in it, since it is so deep.

I love the style...when I tell people it is a diaper bag, they look at me funny (because of the no-kids thing) but everyone agrees it doesn't look like a diaper bag.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
